Heat Pump Rebates
Your electric cooperative is offering an incentive to residential customers for upgrading to a new, more efficient air source or ground source heat pump heating and cooling system. Multiple rebates are also being offered through state and federal programs.
Eligibility
- Members with one of the following electric heating/cooling systems: forced-air furnace systems, electric baseboard, electric ceiling cable, air source or ground source heat pumps
- Members that replace less-efficient systems with an air source heat pump or geothermal heat pump that meets our minimum efficiency criteria
- New home construction is not eligible for this rebate
- Homes switching from gas, propane, wood or other forms of heating fuel that is not electric are not eligible for this rebate
Details
- You can pair this rebate with any existing state, federal or local rebates or tax credits
- The is rebate is $150 per ton for geothermal and $125 per ton for air source up to 10 tons total (residential applications only)
- A heat loss/heat gain calculation will be required. As your HVAC contractor for one.
- SEER, HSPF, COP and EER verification will be by AHRI certification sheet. As your HVAC contractor for one.
- The rebate will be paid to members who replace their electric resistance or electric forced-air system with an electric air source heat pump or geothermal system with a verified AHRI minimum efficiency of:

How to claim your rebate
- Present your completed rebate form with proof of purchase, installation, heat loss/heat gain calculation, and AHRI certificate
- Allow 6 to 8 weeks for rebates to be processed
